Delivering powerful business presentations

The issue

Seasoned executives at an investment bank were increasingly expected to present to large groups or executive decision-makers.  Though their technical and relationship skills were without question, they needed to improve their impact in these formal business presentations.

The action

Basing the content on real-life business acquisition opportunities, we designed, developed and facilitated a two-day workshop that focused on presenting the credentials of the bank and the client service team.

The outcome

Delegates initially wrestled with the distinction between what they wanted to say and what prospective clients wanted to know.  Marshalling their thoughts towards a tailored, client-focused presentation led to important insights about the standard template typically used.  Delegates were also able to review video recordings of their performance and share feedback sessions that developed personal action plans.
